Happy to be getting started!

Hello, and welcome to our new blog. I can't wait to share pictures of the things we have been working on. I, for one, love before and after photos, so we will be posting plenty of those. The Not Just Shabby Shop is a collaboration of myself and two of my sons, Joshua & Thomas.
Thomas and I love going to auctions and dragging home furniture that is usually in need of repair and a new paint job. Sometimes we find something beautiful,  just as it is.

I can't lie, we are also regular curb pickers, we love people who put their good stuff out to  the curb for someone else to find and re love. I am always calling Tom to tell him to get over to such and such a place and pick up that chair, cabinet, or whatever else I have spotted. We work in my garage, my basement and Josh's house. Sometimes Tom and I gather so much in Josh's house he gets a little overwhelmed but it eventually all works out. I hope you will enjoy our adventures.
